History

Welcome to the History page of our website for Creating A Lasting Legacy LLC. Here, you will find information about the history of the Fitness Court, an outdoor gym that the City of Texarkana built in the main park called Spring Lake Park.

The Fitness Court is an innovative and unique concept that has been gaining popularity in recent years. The idea behind the Fitness Court is to provide a free and accessible outdoor gym for communities, to promote physical activity and healthy living. The Fitness Court is a project of the National Fitness Campaign, a non-profit organization that has been dedicated to building free outdoor fitness courts within a 10-minute bike ride of every American for over 40 years.

The National Fitness Campaign's mission is to "BUILD A FREE OUTDOOR FITNESS COURT® WITHIN A 10 MINUTE BIKE RIDE OF EVERY AMERICAN". The organization aims to create healthier communities by providing access to a free and accessible outdoor gym. The Fitness Court is an interdisciplinary team of partnership builders, designers, and consultants, dedicated to improving health outcomes through the built environment.

The Fitness Court is designed to be easy to use, and it features a variety of equipment that can be used for cardio, strength, and flexibility training. The equipment is designed to be accessible to people of all ages and fitness levels, and it's built to withstand the elements, so it can be used year-round.

The City of Texarkana recognized the benefits of having a Fitness Court in their main park Spring Lake Park, and they decided to build one for their community. This outdoor gym provides a great opportunity for individuals and organizations to improve their physical fitness while enjoying the outdoors.
